Defants joins the Cyber Defense Factory incubator!

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve joined the Cyber Defense Factory, an innovative incubator run by the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, namely the French Defense Procurement Agency (Direction Générale de l’Armement: DGA), the Defense Innovation Agency (Agence de l’Innovation de Défense: AID) and COMCYBER. The chosen project, structured in two phases of 6 months each, aims to improve Defants’ investigation solution, Defants vSIRT, based on feedback and recommendations from the Ministry’s operational staff and experts, in particular on the following aspects:

  • Improvements, in particular to the semantic graphical visualization of the tool, to further facilitate the analysis of security incidents and reduce investigation time.
  • Improve collaboration capabilities
  • Develop new functionalities
  • Develop an on-premise deployment capability

What is the Cyber Defense Factory?

The Cyber Defense Factory aims to encourage innovation through a range of services to be chosen by applicants: hosting, access to data of cyber interest and expert advice from experts and operational staff from the French Ministry of Defence. In particular, it can act as a “business incubator” for promising young start-ups. Based in the Rennes area, the Ministry of the Armed Forces actively contributes to the economic and academic dynamism of the region, enriching its environment with its expertise and commitment to innovation and national security. What’s more, our CEO, François Khourbiga, who worked at the DGA for ten years, enriches our company with his valuable experience and commitment to cybersecurity.
